  1. 1

    Open Cleanup

Studio → Clean. The hub shows storage by month and a treemap of where space goes.

  2. 2

    Review groups

Open Groups. Exact duplicates, near-duplicates and bursts are listed with a suggested keeper in each.

  3. 3

    Pick keepers

Accept the suggestion or tap a different keeper. Clear the rest of the group in one action.

  4. 4

    Swipe the rest

Open Swipe and choose a filter such as Low quality or Screenshots. Swipe to keep or delete one at a time.

  5. 5

    Confirm through the trash

Deletion goes through Android's trash dialog. Items can be restored for 30 days.

  6. 6

    Check the result

The result screen shows how many items were removed and how much space you saved.

How groups are found

Exact duplicates are matched by content. Near-duplicates and bursts are matched by visual similarity and timing. Low quality comes from the on-device quality score that also feeds Stories.

When to use Compare instead

For a careful decision between two frames, Compare offers a slider, blink and sharpness views. Cleanup is for volume.
