Browse from any device on your own Wi-Fi.

Home-View answers the oldest gallery request there is: “I want to see my photos on the big screen.” It does it without a cloud in between.

How it works

1. Start Home-View in the app. The phone starts a local server and advertises it on the network.
2. On the laptop, tablet or TV, scan the QR code or type the address shown.
3. Approve the device on the phone. The browser opens your gallery.

The web viewer is a lightweight interface that browses folders, collections, people and search, streams videos, and shows photos at full size.

Safety rails

• Session token from the QR code, so a random device on the network cannot open the gallery.
• Local-network guard that rejects public addresses.
• Auto-stop when Wi-Fi drops, the battery falls below a threshold, the session expires or the connection goes idle.
• Connected-device counter and an audit log on the phone.
• Trusted devices: approve once, reconnect later, revoke any time.

What you control

Include or exclude hidden collections, biometric collections and people. Set the session duration and the battery cut-off.

Honest limits

Home-View uses plain HTTP on your local network, not HTTPS, so treat it like any other device at home. The web viewer bundle is downloaded once from Firebase Hosting, cached on the phone and then served locally; your media never passes through that server.
