Six kinds of stories

- Months Over Years: the same month, year after year.
- Location Over Years: one place, revisited.
- Colors Over Years: a palette that keeps coming back.
- Best of Month: the strongest photos of the past month.
- Best of Year: the year in a single story.
Each story is a sequence of media, title cards, stat cards and collages, chosen from quality scores, dates, places and people that the on-device pipeline has already computed.
Export as video
A story can be rendered to an MP4 with its transitions and cards, so you can send it in a chat or post it wherever you like. The export matches what you saw in the player.

Questions about stories & memories
How does it pick the best photos?
Each photo has an on-device quality score built from sharpness, exposure, faces, saturation and composition. Stories prefer high scores and avoid near-duplicates.
Can I share a story?
Yes. A story can be exported as an MP4 video, and the player, preview and export produce the same result.
Will I get notifications?
Memory notifications are optional and need the notifications permission.
